Mylot Star.

The only way I have seen to keep your star rating at a higher level is to stay out of any discussions dealing with religion or politics. This appears to be where many of those who rate people negatively like to hang out.

It should not happen to you.. You are giving your response and opinion on that topic, but sometime disagreement can make user gave negative button. I do not know....

it so happens here at mylot is that some people rate you negative just because you differ in opinion, this mostly happens when you post on religion and politics section, if you want a nice star then better keep away from those topics like some of us do...

This is happening to everyone i guess. Most of their stars are going down including mine too. Some just rate negative when you disagrees which is not at all right. Well i hope you will get your star.

I think it is better to avoid any discussion that might give you or risk your star rating:) The best way I think is to be active and have quality posts and giving valuable information to people as you will get rated and will have a high number in your star:) For me I would not worry about it as it will go up if you are active and try your best to avoid negative posts that you think might affect you or your points.

It happens here with most of us.. . Try keeping you out of political and religious topics, where we do get negative ratings, if our opinion differs. Try making some good friends having similar intrests and participate mutually in the discussions. Hope your star rating goes up slowly.. Best of luck..

I am considering myself unlucky as I was having the 6-star rating for 100 responsews and till then I have not been getting better even if I am giving good comments or good discussions.

Well there is no way to say what will create positive ratings from people. Sometimes even if you post nicely and helpfully there may be someone who doesn't like you and sometimes they follow you around to rate you down.

I think the best thing to do if you really care about your star, is to avoid controversial topics like Religion, people seem to get into heated debates about that. Religion is the only topic where I have come out with some hot headed replies.

If you don't care about your star too much my advice is just to chat, enjoy yourself, and write about what you're interested in, just don't worry about it too much.

I was a 9 but I bugged someone who was there to annoy people so they said my star will now go down, and the next day it did!

When I first got my star I had a 3 and it stayed that way for a bit then went to a 4, and I had that star for ages, and I thought I would always have it, and I really didn't worry about it. I just laughed about it, but now that I realize the ratings affect our earnings, I hope that I can get mine up, but if I don't, then that is okay too, as it is a 9, and I am very happy about that. The only thing I can tell you is to just continue what you are doing, stay out of the ones that are controversial. and ou shouldn't be rated negative, however, that is no guarantee, as there can be users in any category that can rate you negative. I don't rat negative, as I think that is mean and vindictive. I rate positive so that I can help others keep their ratings up. Good luck to you and happy mylotting.
