Women do you like horror movies?  

I never watch horror movies! But I think if figures show that women watch them more, it's probably because they get an emotional kick by being able to scream and the feeling of totally forgetting yourself for abit.

Wow tat is good to know that a survey regarding women's preference over horror films has been done. I definitely say I love horror movies! I have a wide collection of horror movies. I am glad to know that most women love to watch it.

hello there! i watch horror movies and enjoy it before...but now, i like suspense thriller more...i am not really fond of monsters...but what i like is the movie that keeps me thinking and thrill me in every scenes...

I like horror movies especially movies that focus on psychological horror. My husband and I are members of a movie club, they send us two movies at a time and when we have watched them, we send them back and a few days later we receive to new movies. We choose the movies from a list, and I often choose horror movies. Some of the horror movies that we have watched have been great, others have been more disgusting than I expected. I like scary movies but I don't like the disgusting ones, and sometimes we send them back without watching the entire movie.

I am not sure why women would like horror movies more than men do; I will say that I love horror movies, and find them to be cathartic and stress-relieving. There's nothing like sitting in a darkened movie theater and being scared out of your wits for a couple of hours. It's worthwhile, if solely for the adrenaline rush.

My favourite genres of horror are monster movies and zombie movies. The first real horror movie I ever saw was The Evil Dead, Sam Raimi's brilliant demon-zombie piece. To this day, I still get chills when I hear the words "Join us..." hissed in that eerie way.

I like the films of George Romero, John Carpenter, and David Cronenberg best, I guess. I don't have a lot of patience with the recent crop of "splatter" filmmakers. As a previous poster pointed out, it can be too gross to watch, and at that point, I think the director and producer have missed the point.
