Hi all... my mother tongue is Hindi and don't always use pure Hindi words, some of them are very tricky and sometimes find it hard to express and end up using some of the English words to describe... do you do that, or are you proficient at your mother tongue? Did you study in an English medium school, i did. lol ... i think this may not apply to ones who have English as their tongue..sorry:P

Hi voldrox, I am very proud to say that I am proficient in my mother tongue. I studied in the local language medium upto 10th standard. We are speaking our local language at home even if we are staying away from the mother land. I am showing much interest to teach my kids our mother tongue and I know other languages they can learn easily later. Mother tongue is easy to learn in the beginning stage, means when they start to speak.

Hi sreekala I see you have put up a new discussion as well, thanks for responding to mine... well i too like to speak in my mother tongue but only thing that remains is that i wasn't much exposed to it as a child and hence i think i have problems speaking it at times, anyhow, i think we should all respect mother tongue and yes it definitely is quiet important to us...
