love or faith?

I have this semenarian friend. He has been my friend since a was in 1st year high school. But the momen we became friends, I became silenly in love to him unil my biest secret was become know. I always tell him that im movin on and that im givin him up...im losin hope for both of us to be together someday, bu he always stop me, tellin me that we should never lost hope. He made me believe that he loves me too. I waited for him for eigth years but hen, last december i received an email from him from rome asking me to pray for his application for priesthood. It really ruined my life and my hopes for both of us. Im so down? What shall I do? I havent talked to him since then. Im so confused.
