Michael Jackson abuse of pain meds and public believe that they are overprescrib

I was wondering if anyone that suffers from chronic pain is concerned that the negative publicity over Michael Jackson abusing pain medications may soon impact thier continued ability to obtain prescriptions. Do you think there is going to be another crackdown on doctors who prescribe opiates and sleep medications much like the oxcycontin news propaganda that led doctors to quit prescribing that med in favor of methadone or vicodin. It seems to be everytime something like this happens it makes it hard for legitamate sufferers, we already have pills counted, have to pee in a cup and no early by a day refills. Will lawmakers scurry to limit what a doctor can prescribe and to who, what about pressure on your doctor from the DEA. Locally doctors are acting scared. Will we have to turn to Mexico for relieve?
