Why do you think we need to face trials in this life?

As soon as you are breathing you experience trials in your life. No one is exempted. Children, teenagers, young adults, adults and even in the years of retirement are never ending trials. Trials come in many forms and sizes. They come in unexpected moments from unexpected people. We face trials everyday. Sometimes like a test in school, we passed them with flying colors. Other times we endure for a long time. On other occasions it annoys us trying us to our limits. Still some come so strong in our lives, like a rain in a storm that never stop falling... and then in severe times it is like a flood, surrounding us, filling us, pulling, stretching, pushing from every side. It is often painful and devastating. Crushing us to our limits... Why do we face trials? Do we benefit from it? Do we even need it? Can't we live without them?
