Hi there Sheila!
I know that it's a shame but honestly, I haven't seen it yet. It's a classic, recommended by almost every movie lover but sad to say, I haven't come across a copy of it yet. I think it's great that you have in in VHS format. I still have some VHS tapes of Titanic and Men in Black, I just don't have a working VHS player anymore.

That's a shame. I have a VHS/DVD player but I hardly ever use the VHS anymore. I haven't seen it either because I don't like horror movies all that much. I've seen Cloverfield but that was a bit annoying more than horrifying for me since the camer kept going everywhere. I felt like having a headache after watching that movie.

I have seen Silence of the Lambs just recently, maybe a month ago? I've always heard about it before and I heard it's a good movie. It's even won 5 oscars.
I am a fan of the TV series Monk and one of its characters, Leland Stottlemeyer, is played by Ted Levine. I really like him and I was curious about his other movies. I checked out the list of all the films he's been and one of them is in Silence of the Lambs. To my surprise, his character in SOTL is really disturbing. He is Buffalo Bill. The "it rubs the lotion on its skin" didn't really creep me out, maybe just a bit. It's the naked dance that gave me the heebee-jeebees. I'm not used seeing Ted that way. Buffalo Bill is the very opposite of his character in Monk which is a police captain, a lovable one too
The movie was pretty interesting especially that in order to have a profile of the killer, the protagonist had to consult a locked up criminal-psychologist. Also, the fact that a newbie police officer goes through sorts of things and figures out the correct lead to Buffalo Bill while all the other police officers are headed the wrong way is a very nice concept.

Yes I do. I liked the original one with Jodie Foster. I think it's a great movie, well put together and the Anthony Hopkins is awesome. He is great at playing the quiet demended soul. A+ on that movie.

Ive seen it lots of times and think its a brilliant film, definatley the best one out of the collection. I dont think following ones were quite the same without Jodie Foster in them, they were still good though.
