Stapler or Paper clips  |

|  When I used to work in an office, or maybe even now I work from home, I have these 2 items on my desk. I will use lots of paper clips for those stuff that I am compiling, and a stapler once it's confirm. I hate having the used staples (bullets) on my table. I have a colleague who only uses staplers as she finds that having paper clips is not good as the paper will still have the tendency to move around, and she ended up having lots of hole on her paper, since she keep removing the staples. What about you? Do you use just one of these or both?

I love to use both of its. It is depend on what kind of job that I want it to be done to determine the way I pull this paper together.
I used paper clips if I need to pull or separate this papers in future. Or if I just want to make my table tidy. But sometimes paper clips is not very reliable to hold this papers together.
I used stapler if I have a papers that made from I topic or have a same/related topics. It is easier for me to read it that way. If you read something that attached by paper clips, it is easily separated. Staplered papers also easy to carried or distributed.

| |  Yes, true that stapler is much better for papers to carried or distribute. I am not working in an office, but i am in the office, i have my own stapler, but i don't have paper clips. It is more convenient to hold papers by staples than clips. I have that black stapler and because i love to write something that is nonsense and with sense randomly, i used old notebook pages and staple it together. Anything i have printed out staple it before putting in plastic envelop, and not using fastener. Though it can not hold thick papers i still love to used it. I used 35mm.

| |  I used both. They are both effective to manage papers and files. Big staplers are important as well to clipped together documents and medium sized clampy clips are also important to put thicker documents together. We have paper clips of varying sizes and colours. Expensive though.Yes, I also use a punch if staplers and big clips do not appeal when used on certain documents. These documents are summarily put into a ring-file for keeps.

| | I was in the government sector. It's my job to deal with documents. There are many levels of classified documents ranging from open files to top secret ones. Some we can see, others we can't. So my staff would not be seeing some of the documents and I would have to do the physical filing and entry myself. | | | |

| | These little office tools continue to be useful even though we have laptops and all kinds of computerisation done in the office. Yes, there is email as well. We clamoured for paperless transactions and yet we have papers to handle. So the pins,staples and clips continue to be useful up to this day! | | | |

| |  I prefer stapler since it will give a better hold on papers especially if they were really important ones. Paper clips have the tendency to get loose and they might get lost.

| |  I personally prefer Paper clips because in our office, we tend to change papers and things quickly as lot of modifications happen. Pinning it up with Staples means that bunch of papers will not be changed at any cost.

| |  Hey cwong77! Good question. hmmmm..As for me, I would go to paper clips. First, it comes with different colors, recyclable, classy, it doesn't hurt your hand (sometimes accidents happen), and it won't ruin your paper. Stapler is out because it's the total opposite of paper clips.:)

| |  I work in an office also and use both stapler and paper clips. I personally like to use a stapler. Just because to me it seems to be much faster and I dont have to worry about pulling it aprt or papers coming loose which has happened to me before. I like your idea of paper clips until everything is completed. Id stick with my stapler if I had to choose though!
