What is Armageddon according to bible?  | |  Hi All,
Recently while i was going through Bible i saw word armageddon also heard from some of my friends about it. They say it as end of world. Is it really mean that or is it taken differently from what it is written in bible.

In fact, Armageddon is only the name of the field where the ultimate battle between the forces of good and evil will take place. It comes from the name of Meghido, an ancient Hebrew battle field.

The world will be divided into two groups. Those who are on the side of Satan and those who are on the side of Christ. Jeremiah 25:31 calls it the Lord's "controversy with the nations." The description of the wicked being destroyed can be found in Rev. 1:7,6:14-17 and 16:17-21. The wicked are about to destroy God's people when the Lord returns and the wicked are destroyed instead. This is Armageddon.
