4. leeloo (361) | 5 months ago | I first got into this realm when I started watching CSI (Vegas) so I would have to say that that is my favourite (I started watching it on and off from the 3rd or 4th season but have since watched most of the older episodes on DVD or reruns), though they have changed both style and pacing over the years the first episodes were more I don't know if realistic is the right word but more natural like the CSI: New York in which they wear lab coats and not all the rooms are made of glass with elaborate lighting which CSI: Miami has taken to a new level (their morgue in particular). They have similar filming styles especially in entering the wounds and showing the progress of things like bullet trajectories etc. but the lighting and camera angles vary greatly giving them totally different feels. CSI(Vegas) still feels that you are watching the affectionately called lab rats in the field and they have fun in the lab at time which I really enjoy, but CSI: Miami even though Horatio Caine is a CSI supervisor you could easily mistake him for a Detective as you barely see him in the lab. Mac Taylor seems like both as in the lab and out. They also have great characters and sometimes cast against type the gun specialist CSI: Miami is the petit Calleigh Duquesne, their lab tech normally are witty or funny even when showing dramatic promise eg Adam Ross(NY)and David Hodges(Vegas), both in Vegas and NY both homicide detectives are old school type cops with a healthy knowledge of forensics (Brass was head of CSI before Grissom and Tripp respects the help that forensics gives) Flack is from a family of police officers so though understanding he feels that police do the work they are just helping but has respect for them and a lot of admiration in particular since Taylor saved his life.
I have to stop now, the more I think about it the more I will write and then I won't stop. So I hope to see more with the CSI(Vegas) - 10th season, CSI: Miami - 8th Season and CSI: NY - 6th Season this year.

| 5. happygal36 (18) | 4 months ago | I like the original the best (Las Vegas). I have to admit though, once Grissom left I stopped watching. Sarah and Warrick leaving were letdowns, but Grissom seemed to hole the show together. I have the newer episodes on DVR, so maybe I will give it a try. I am just worried that it won't be as good now.

8. abbypringles (818) | 4 months ago | I like the original - Las Vegas. Grissom really does make an effective character and he is such a fierce personality. Sarah is the tough girl in the series and she actually inspired me to aspire of becoming a forensic investigator. hehe. I haven't see CSI New York yet because I cannot seem to catch the schedule for its airing from where I live. And Horatio makes Miami quite an interesting show too. But Las Vegas has got to be a favorite!

anna728 (578) | 4 months ago | I like the Las Vegas one too- also for the characters. I like Nick and Warrick a lot too. Horatio on the Miami one actually kind of gets on my nerves.

| 9. cubbie (21) | 4 months ago | I love all the CSI's, but Las Vegas is by far the best. It is the most believable and focuses on the case and not drama in the actors and actresses lives like Miami and NY do so much. Plus NY is over graphic. You don't need to make a case extra bloody to try and get ratings. Oh and by the way. Did you know that none of those you mentioned are the originals? I guess there was an older one that was based of the navy I believe. If you have ever watched J.A.G it was kinda like that.:)

anna728 (578) | 4 months ago | I like Las Vegas the best, too. I think the characters are more likable. Huh I didn't know there was another one. If it was the Navy was it kind of like NCIS then?
