(ESPESCIALLY TO WOMEN)Is it really necessary to upload ones real pic in the profile of a social networking site? If yes what is the advantage you are going to have? Wont you feel your pic might be misused? Please share.

I don't know if I should be responding here but the question intrigues me.... I always put my real pics online so my friends would recognize me... and also to those people who don't know me and wants to know me.... so that they can say that I am a real person....

The only places I have pictures online are facebook and my private sites... as well as some modeling profiles, but those jobs all backfired. The pictures on facebook are ones that only people I know can see, so I'm not concerned about them. The photo on my private sites is a professional portrait taken by an ex boyfriend of mine who was a photography student... and it has his signature embeded in the file... so if I ever find it anywhere other than my sites, we can sue them because it's copywrited material. So no, not really concerned about photos being misused.
