i am so blessed to be given the chance to work with and take care of HIV positive persons and even those who are in their AIDS stage. positive friends that come and go into my life created an impact that made me commit, that for as long as i live i will continue to advocate for support----- TO FIGHT AIDS not the PERSON WITH AIDS! So, i am into counseling and providing care and support service to those who are positive of HIV and even into information dissemination and training on HIV/AIDS prevention!

hi msfrancisco, HIV +ive patients are something which society shuns and they need lot of encouragement and proper help to live life respectably. There are lots and lots of things people should know how Aids do not spread and if the people know this then they wont shun the unfortunate person who got infected with HIV virus. The Hiv does spread be 1. Sharing food, 2. Sharing Toilet 3. shaking hands or hugging or even kissing 4. sharing food. So if everyone knew this then they wont stay away from them and it would really really helpful for them.

Thanks asweetie, You're right. All the things that you mentioned are some the things that we usually and normally do but WILL NOT TRANSMIT THE VIRUS just in case the person is HIV positive. There is no reason for us to fear or be scared with them. Actually they should be the one to avoid us especially if we are sick and have colds. They can easilty acquire it and get sick because they have a low and poor immune system. Weak enough to fight infection.

Hi msfrancisco, You have a very noble purpose in life, and it feels good to know that there are people like you who made a choice to make an impact in the lives of HIV carriers/AIDS victims. People who have been identified to have this disease have suffered discrimination and ridicule, and the stigma that goes with it separates them from a society that is judgmental and unforgiving. It is a refreshing thought that the victims have someone/somewhere to run to, and realize that it's not the end of the world after all.
