What would you do if you saw this coyote?

Coyotes are very common in my area. I was helping my daughter's friend put her light back on her bicycle up the street and a coyote trotted up onto the road, crossed the bridge and then continued down the other side of the creek. It just looked at us while it was trotting along. I told the girls they just witnessed a coyote and my daughter's friend freaked out while my daughter commented it looked just like a husky-type dog. I think they are beautiful creatures that should be observed and not killed or made into a pet.
