I only own a netbook and this is my first portable computer so i'm not sure if i can be of help. I'm reading good reviews about Toshiba laptops but it's kind of pricy like Sony Vaio laptops. I won't recommend Sony Vaio though since they're too expensive that you can have a much higher end laptop of different brands. Asus i heard, are good for gamers. Hp, well the designs are great but i'm not sure about the quality. Dell is highly recommended but like Toshiba, it's pricy. I'm using a Lenovo netbook. So far, so good. I worked my butt online to get this one though. lol!

Great deal of information you had there. I was a had this before I purchased my laptop but no biggie, since I currently don't have any qualms about my purchase.

My colleague before told us that the three leading brands for laptops would be HP, Dell and Acer.. I guess you just have to consider HP and choose among the models available that would suit your needs. A lot of laptops now-a-days are versatile when it comes to usage so you just really have to choose your style.
In my case, if ever the specs are good, the last thing that would get me to decide to buy the laptop or not would be the convenience of the keyboard.

Hi, thanks for the input. At the start of this month, I have already purchased my laptop. It is an HP brand, HP Mini-110 to be exact. I am not really techy enough to know about the specs but it certainly is doing fine for me since i use my laptop mainly for my article writing ventures.

In my opinion, I think the best laptop that we normally required more HD space, high speed, huge memory to keep more image file and software. That should do the perfect work. But if you were to use only Words, Excel and other database software's then a smaller spec will be nice.
Any brand will work the same...lol
Don't mind me asking you a silly question? Why your photo taken 70% of your lip and 100% of your chin? Who is the photographer behind this?
Just for laugh...Happy Mylotting.

hi abbypringles,
I am always on laptops because it is easy to carry and easy to work on and i like its key pad much better than the key pad of the desktop. In my life i have had 5 laptops till now and i have used from Compaq, Toshiba and Acer. I hardly find any difference between any of them if you buy laptops of nearly same configuration but i like Acer most because of the emanagement they give you for free with the laptop and also the Acer laptops are the cheapest ones as compared to other international brands.
