Emergency: Our house is flooded!?

Theres a really bad storm going on down here. is it on the news? or is it rainning really hard where you live? yeah well the street are flooded here and ours just got clear but its still rainning hard. its suppose to hail soon and cars are up to their hoods and water. and the sadest thing of all is our whole basement is flooded!!! all the way up to the stairs i'm afraid soon that our whole is gonna flood. its very scary at least we still have electricity now. i don't know whats really gonna happen though because this is the 3rd really bad storm in our city. i don't think we can handle all the debt were in now.
oh and our new washing machine and dryer is down stairs! do you think if they dry it will still work? hopefully because can't afford any more really. i just want to go on a vacation! huh and my mom trying to go to work for a big presentation -cry- i don't want her to leave theres still alot of streets floody. all i can do is pray that she will make it.

a couple of weeks ago we got a ton of rain in a short period of time. so much so that the street sewers were flooded and to that end, many basements were flooded in the city that i live in in canada. these people who had their house flooded are trying to seek damages from the city.

thank you this is very helpful. but i wonder why any one would want to seek damages from the city. its not the cities fault. i just wish it said something on the news about this.

Be careful of mold! After the water recedes and it dries out mold will form and can make you very sick! You need to spray an anti fungicide around the walls and in damp areas! I worked for a company and we used to do that! but you can do it your self!
