Do Converse All Star shoes last long?  | |  I've never bought any converse shoes before but I've fallen in love with a few and might buy some tomorrow. The thing is, they are quite expensive at £30-£40 as I usually buy my shoes a lot cheaper than that. But if they are long lasting (good grip etc), I will feel OK paying that little bit extra as cheap shoes don't tend to last long. But there are cheap alternatives available!
So do you recommend me buying them or are they not worth the price?
Also, if you like, I'd love some recommendations of what colours/ styles I should check out.

I don't think they are necessarily better than cheaper shoes I have worn though, although I do prefer them as they're very comfortable
