My son who has just graduated in engineering is really mad about doing motorcycle stunting. He has formed a team of his own comprising about 12 members and all are busy with their rehearsal for a forthcoming stunt show. He has a good collection of different videos and CDs of motorcycle stunting and it is only this that is running in his mind all the while. He is trying for other jobs too but is mainly occupied with this. I have asked him to do something more worthwhile although I am not against this, but worried about the hazards and risks involved in it.
How would your reaction be if your son is more interested in stunting?

Teens are keen on those kinds of things, including me.I feel it's cool and atractive though it's dangerous. As parents,I think it's not suitable for you to stop him.You can let him ply for some times, not all day.Encouraging him to land a proper job and focus less attention on it.

Yes as you say there are lot of his friends' who also do this and encourage him. Well he is seriously looking out for a good job and soon will be quitting from this, and I do not stop him now as he himself will get deviated once he gets a job. Thanks for your response and good day and good luck to you.

I think your son's age makes his crazy about stunting. He might loose the interest for it after some time. It is fine to go ahead with that for some time, but it cannot be considered as a real job. It is very risky and dangerous. He can go for it once he has a family. So, let him do it for sometime, but at the same time search for a full time job.

Yes I am of the opinion that he will lose interest once he is busy with his profession and becomes a little responsible, hope so. Maybe it is because of his age and lot of his friends who encourage him. Thanks for your response enjoy the day and good luck.

Dear friend,
As a loving mother of your son I know your discomfort on this. But I it is another talent that may not be got by all. But make sure all security measures are well kept before during any risky stunts. I hope if security measures are well taken the stunts actions would be safe and may be this is want I hope your son could digest as for him.

I regularly see these young boys doing stunts on mobikes near the beach. I stay closeby and get to see these antics everyday. I used to wonder whether ther parents have washed their hands off them or are they just ignorant. But after reading your post I understand what you, as a mother of such a son, are going through. Thanks for sharing this. :)

Actually they do not care to listen to you once they have decided to do these things. But my son is very keen on trying a good job now that he has graduated too, Anyway I think once he gets a good job he will quit this and be a little responsible. Thanks for your good wishes and response, have a good day and good luck to you.
