I have lupus and I am happy about this!  | |  Hello,
I know that this title can be quite controversial. Sorry for that!
Lupus is very serious illness and sometimes I feel like sitting on bomb that can explode in every second.
But sometimes I feel like I lost something to gain something else. Lupus made me kind of person I am right now. I can feel pain with other people and I am very good in social relations.
And I can help people that have the same illness as me. I have lupus since I was 17 (right now I am almost 35) and gone through many things. So - if you need to "talk" about lupus - here I am. I am not practicing MD so I can't give you medical advice - just talk about my life with my best friend (kind of - he is always with me) - Mister L.

| Krupik (36) | 5 months ago | It is something from autoimmune group of illnesses. Your body produces anibodies against YOUR DNA. Then you have complexes of destroyed DNA that can destroy your kidneys, liver etc. And it CAN be fatal. But you can have also remissions. And feel quite ok.
Right now I am in almost perfect health.

| | 2.  l33tgirl (173) | 4 months ago | I'm not sure if I have Lupus. I have been living with an undiagnosed virus for a year and a half, however doctors have told me my lupus tests have come back abnormal so it is a possibility - they want to retest me and check.
If it is Lupus, how do you get treated, and how is your ability to live a normal functional life, ie. go to work every day, social activities etc.
At the moment I am bedridden most days which is frustrating, so I'm hoping theres some sort of medication that helps. | |

First thing - it can be something else. Something they say you have it and then not.
Another - I was also almost dead - but then I got proper drugs - and now I feel 100% ok. To be honest - I had very good time from age 17 (when I was diagnosed) to 32. Then I had attack - and now I feel ok.
So - the key are proper drugs. And no sun!!! It is very important!
And everylupus is different. They say that lupus cases are like snow flakes - every special.
But it is possible to have it and be ok!!!! | |
