Best Concert |
| |
| What is the best concert (or maybe the only concert?) you have been to? What year did you go? I have seen Boyz II Men (1995) and Kenny Chesney, Dierks Bentley, and Carrie Underwood (2006), That's it! I really wanted to see Crosby, Stills, and Nash, who are coming to my area next month, but I don't have the money. :( | | | | | |

| | Wow-you saw Jimi Hendrix?!?! I absolutely love classic rock music and music from the hippie era, and Jimi is one of my favorite artists of all time. I love his performance on the Woodstock show. Did you know (a friend of mine told me this-) that he is considered a one hit wonder because only one of his songs hit the charts? Don't know if that is true, but that is what I heard. | | | |

| | I am a big Janis Joplin fan as well, another great artist who played at Woodstock, in which I love watching her performance on DVD! (Because that's as good as I will ever have-all of these artists were dead long before I was even born.) I found that hard to beleive about Jimi Hendrix, of course I don't know how true it was, him being considered a one-hit wonder, but he is much more than that to me!! | | | |

| | I would really like to see Tom Petty and would imagine he would put on a great show. Willie Nelson has such an impact on music and politics that he would be a great one to see too. I hope I share some musical likings with my kids when they grow up. I am a huge fan of older music-dating all the way to the early 60's, even though I am only 29. My daughter, who is almost 7, loves the Mamas and the Papas and we listen to them together often. Although I don't see a concert of theirs put on ever again, because no one will ever be able to replace Mama Cass. :( | | | |

| | Isn't that the truth?! I love all the old music....I'm a die hard fan of the 50's and 60's music...to the dismay of my family! I also love Celtic music of all kinds....so I listen to a lot of music with headphones....sigh.... | | | |

| | You know, I like some Celtic music as well, but my favorite music of today is mostly unsigned/unreleased music that has a terrific bluegrass and folk sound to it. I love southern style music, "boogie" type, with harmonzing, banjos, the whole bit. Have you ever heard of Birdie Busch or Nicklecreek? | | | |

| | I've never heard of Birdie Busch but LOVE Nicklecreek! Have you heard of The Wailin Jenny's? They are a Canadian chick group and they are awesome! Check em out and I'll check out Birdie Busch! | | | |

| | Birdie Busch is not signed, so I am not sure where you can find her, but she does have a Myspace page (if you have a page, check her out!!) Nick Rose is another great artist, from Canada, and also unsigned. It's too bad that such great artists can't get a record deal, but Lady Gaga and Katy Perry can. I have been greatly disappointed in most music since the new millenium. | | | |

| | It was either in 2004 or 2005, I don't remember. It wasn't the best because of who was there, but because of what happened. The only bands that I remember that were playing were Slayer and Arch Enemy. The others I have never heard before and forgot their name. I didn't like any of the bands that were there anyways. We only went because we were supposed to meet Otep Shamaya from the band Otep and get backstage, but their manager made them quit touring at the last minute, which is a long story. Anyways, it still turned out to be my favorite concert because the moshing wash great. Epic. It got out of hand and people were getting broken bones. A DJ was talking about it the next day and reported that there were many police, seven ambulances and one fire truck and that it was the most hardcore concert he's been too. I only saw two ambulances because the place was huge and packed. It was an outside arena type thing. In the mosh pit someone punched me in the nose. And later some big guy I didn't even know threw me over his shoulder and carried me out of the crowd, set me down, pointed at my face, and said, "Stay out!" I was like, lol wtf? and went back in. But then some guy was running around slashing peoples faces with a razor, so I left the circle. He got arrested... eventually. But then a medic saw me and wanted to check my nose out since it was bleeding. It was okay, but when I was at the ambulance there a guy with broken ribs and a female with a broken ankle. It looked nasty, I saw her bone sticking out of the skin. Someone started a fire. It wasn't to big, but big enough for me to see from the other side of the arena. The lead singer of whatever band was playing got pissed and was yelling at everybody. My friend brought fireworks that she put in a hidden pocket in her purse, so the guards didn't find it when they checked us. Not the big in the sky kind, but the ones that make sparks. They're illegal in my state, so we kept setting them off then running. I'm surprised we didn't get caught. More happened, but this is already long. So yeah, that's why it was the best. F the bands. | | | | | | |

| | Sounds like a show my husband would enjoy. I can't stand mosh metal type bands, but he does, and has been to quite a few shows in his day. I would be too scared to go. He in fact, wants to see a Slayer show, he jokingly asked if I wanted to go. I looked at him with the answer on my face, and he said he wouldn't want me to go anyway because he wouldn't want me to come hiome with a broken nose or anything. (LOL-I think I would be perfectly fine missing out on it!!) | | | |

| | I think Sting might've been the best - and it was free to boot! Styx was also a great concert and the Moody Blues. Elton John did a great show, but we were in the nose-bleed section so we could barely see him. I saw Paul McCartney at the Astrodome, and he had screens, even with the screens it was hard to see the show | | | | | | |
