Had any fastfoods lately?

Fastfoods...........

Hi Princess, nice to hear from you. Well you could still start a topic about fast foods but just change it up a little bit from the way that mine was posted and you'll be just fine. But I must say that you gave an interesting response and I think that it's only fair that fast food places place the nutrition labels on their products so that people will know what it is they are actually getting. Just like how cigarette manufacturers place the warning labels on their smokes and let folks know that it's bad for their health. Although I've eaten at almost every fast food place out there if I absolutely had to pick a place of favorites I guess it would be Wendy's. But since I'm not really a burger sort of girl I'd much rather stick to buying the turkey burgers from the grocery store and making my own. At least this way I feel as if I know what I'm getting for sure. Not to mention that turkey is a whole lot healthier for us versus beef. Some day I might even go strictly vegetarian because frankly i"m getting tired of consuming foods that are not good for us in the first place because a lot of the meat is loaded with preservatives anyhow. Which is the reason why so many people are coming up with high cholesterol as well as other health related illnesses. The other night I was trying to eat a rib from one of these joints and I almost got sick off it. I vowed to myself that I would never visit that place again. I'm thinking that they must be doing something very wrong back in the kitchen. And like you said, so many of those places have really gone downhill, not to mention the fact that we have to pay so highly for that kind of garbage, I'd rather just cook my own, even though that gets tiring too after a while....... Hey texasheartland, fancy seeing you again here at mylot. Anyhow pizza is one of those foods that I never seem to have a problem with my family eating. With all the veggies on it, the experts claim that it's one of the better fast food products that you can get. The next time just tell them to box up whatever you have leftover because with the prices of food and everything else getting so high out there today, a person needs to save wherever they can. So thanks for responding and enjoy your pizza, happy mylot!

I forgot to mention that the MacFlurry I got was the Oreo Cookie flavor. I know that' not important but I just thought you would like to know. Kathy.

Thanks for responding kathy, you are one of the few people that I've ever talked with about fastfoods that has never had a complaint. Maybe you are just lucky or very easy to get along with. Either way I hope that you'll continue to have positive experiences whenever you go out to eat. Also I'm sorry to hear about your Mom but I'm happy that you did get to spend some quality time with her before she passed on. God bless you. Happy mylot!

LolI don't know if I'm easy to get along with or not but I just don't see any sense in showing out. If I felt like I was cheated in some way or didn't get the right order, I would take it back. I just don't remember having this experience, though. I would try to be nice about it at least. Usually they will apologize and try to fix the problem. Kathy.

Good for you for steering clear of the fast food action. An egg roll or two can't be that bad for you my friend. Besides you would have felt really bad if you didn't act kind of sociable...... Happy mylot!

Good for you my friend. Many people don't think to check the bags before leaving there. I've been cheated by them so many times that now I"m starting to think, maybe i need to suggest to the manager that they need to get two people at the cashier window. One to collect the money and one to check the bags and make sure that the customers are all getting what they are paying for and are satisfied. Happy mylot!

I supposed you are right my friend, less and less people show concern for their health. But it's also a cultural thing to be eating food when another person or a friend is eating it. I've had friend to get mad with me because when we go out they want to eat but I don't want to eat. I think it's wrong for people to try to put that kind of pressure on someone.
