Something that you should be aware of are the scammers that prey on new sellers. When I first put up an auction for a digital camera, someone offered to pay me thousands of dollars if I closed the auction immediately and send the camera to them. It seemed way too good to be true. I looked in my email and saw a message from "Paypal" that said some money had been sent to my account. I logged into my Paypal account to see if the money was really there, which it wasn't, and I checked the address that they wanted me to send the money to. The address was in Nigeria. Fortunately for me I didn't fall for the scam. I advise you to be careful because there are some cruel people lurking around.

Be patient. Don't get ahead of your self. auctions are good, but remember you only make money if someone is looking to buy the item you are placing up for bid. So you may not make any money for a long time, but then you might start off making a lot of money and then it stop adn then it pick back up again. Don't just use one place for your items. Be sure that if you have an item on Ebay wait until the auction is over before you place it on another site. You can place it on another site if you have more than one item. Just be careful cause auction cost can get pretty high up there depending on what you put the item down for the customer to pay. you can photobucket to create slide shows to put on ebay. you just need to know how to use the html coding when you do that. Photo bucket provides the codes for each thing you do. They have several items to chose from for slides.
