Child made to smoke 46 cigarettes in 2 hours as punishment by teacher.  

I have no idea how they can get by doing this to the children. They should have taken the cigarettes away from tham and had a talk with them instead or something like that. I hope they do something to thatteacher. They deserve it.

Its very crazy and not make sense. Is this done by a teacher have good senses ?, I think this is unreasonable and shoul be punished by the authorities. Teachers have the ability to establish and improve the value of personality of the student. Action or punishment for someone aiming to give effect to not repeat the same act in next time.

That is child abuse if I ever heard it. I can't believe the other teachers watched and didn't put a stop to it. All I can say there is alot of crazy stuff happening in this world today.

Never ever. This is beyond weired. Taken for granted that the kid used to smoke clandestinely but this does not mean that he be fed with 46 cigarettes. What if he had chocked to death? One teacher could be half mad and hence resorted to such action but what about the on lookers.

All those were present there should be sacked from their jobs and bye bye them forever.

It is very common to find adolescents boys and even girls trying a hand on smoking, well at this age they are eager to try out lot of other things do which a matured person just cannot accept, I just can imagine being a teacher and imparting good habits or at least as you say or having a counselling session with the child, what immature behavior has the teacher undertaken. This shows her in capability of being a teacher.

Omg wow, that is horrible. if I were a parent I would be upset and probably suiing the school. What has the world come to and what was the teacher thinking. Was she thinking oh I'll teach him and have him smoke all these cigarettes. The lady is crazy to even do that to him. I hope his parents do whatever is in their power to get this teacher and the other teachers that just stood around and watched punished. They deserve to be punished. The teachers that stood around and watch are as guilty as the teacher that made him smoke all those cigarettes. I'm steal wondering what type of lesson that was suppose to teach him.

to be honest - i heard a similar story once - truly happened to a friend's younger brother. but the one giving the punishment was not the teacher, but the friend's own father.. and it wasnt as many as 46, but i do remember my friend said 'a mouthful' of cigarettes... and the father never lit the cigarettes up - just to scare the brother - he just wanted the sons to know that he hates to see them smoke, and to the father it made no difference if you smoke one at a time or a mouthful at a time - it is just not the thing to do...

That is so unusual, and most of all, cruel!
I don't know about the laws in Malaysia, but if that happened here in the United States, the teacher would probably be sued.
This is so horrible... teachers can be so cruel!
