coin change in purses or in the pockets  

I think that it's not a problem if we put coins in our purse or pockets. And though we have some big amount of bills for a cup of coffee. Those cashiers and change it since they are in business. Therefore, I don't see any problem with giving of a big amount for a cup of coffee. but if you have the small amount,you might as well give that small amount of rupees.

Hi yugasini, here in my place, if we pay with a high value currency like 50 ringgit note for little stuff less than a ringgit. It’s worse still if it’s less than 50 sen. The owners of the small stalls would regard that this is an impolite manner. They could hardly find more small a ringgit note and sen to give back the change. Very often they prefer not to sell the item, unless we have small change. To avoid such embarrassed situation I always keep some small notes and coins in my pocket.

We don’t find any problem paying in hypermarket or shopping mall. The cashers there would accept high value currency even if we pay for any item that costs little money. Yeah, it's a best place to get small change

i dont think there is something to be shy about having coins or loose change in pockets. in fact, people ask small bills when you pay something, even in malls. i get kinda embarrased when i dont have loose change like i buy a cup of coffee and it costs just 15pesos and i pull out a bill, say 500. the waiter or cashier usually raises their eyebrows. see? it seems so brazen and arrogant. i prefer to be low profile and humble.
in public transport when i have to pay 7pesos from home to destination, its very embarrassing to pull out a 100note. sometimes the driver would just ask you to step down. iiiiiiwwwwwwww!!! its just like i am asking for a free ride in not a straight forward way. so id rather have loose change or say that my cash is 500 before i order something.
i understand the saying "the customer is always right". but i say not always.
i hope i have expressed well my one cent opinion.
