What kind of flowers do you have in your yard?

I was just curious to see what are the different kinds of flowers the different users here on myLot have in their yards.
This year we are staying at a different property, and the other perenials that were here were a couple of evergreen bushes, some lily of the valley, and a rose bush. We planted petunias, and the ones in the back of the house are doing quite well, but the ones in the front don't get much sunlight, so they aren't growing much.
What about you? What types of flowers do you have in your yard? Are they annuals or perenials? Did you plant them new this year?

I have 3 tomatoe plants in my yard as well Rose2798. As a matter of fact, I hate paying outragous prices for things that I can grow myself. $1.98 a pound doesn't seem like much, but we go through at least 3 pounds a week, especially if we have a cookout.
Plus, I just love the smell of tomatoe plants. It is one of my favorite smells in the whole world. I don't know why, most people like perfumes or scented candles, but I like tomatoe plants. LOL

I have found that roses are hard to get started, when you first plant them. I don't know how many plants that I have lost. I have tried all of the special fertilizers and everything. I just can't seem to get them going.
But if they are already planted, I haven't had any problem with them at all. We have a pink rose bush at this property, and my guy transplanted it because it was in a bad location. Luckily, it is still surviving. Although it doesn't seem to be very hearty, and earlier in the year I thought we had lost it.

At least kids are easier to train to stay out of the garden than rabbits. LOL
It sounds like you have quite a nice herb garden going on there, chetrarath! I wouldn't know what to do with them if I could grow a bunch of herbs.
I like to cook, it just seems like there are so many different ingredients needed for all of the recipes that I find. I guess, that would be a good reason to start my own herb garden.
Thanks for your response in this discussion, and have a great day here on myLot!
