 Have you seen them perform before? If so, when and where?
I've seen them twice, once in Tucson,AZ on the lollapalooza tour, right after Load came out. Then, I saw them again, about two years later, in Phoenix, AZ on the Pour Touring Me tour.
Both times were awesome, but the Pour Touring Me show was so much better. It was pretty crazy, there were huge bonfires, and the fire marshal wanted to shut down the show. James Hetfield told the crowd he didn't care, and to start another fire for him. Because, it looks pretty cool from up here, he said.
I had backstage passes to the lollapalooza show, though. So, that was really cool. Me and a couple of friends met Lars. We didn't know what to say though, so we all kind of just awkwardly stood around, with Lars looking uncomfortable. Hahaha.
I wish I could have seen them in that 3-4 years after they released the Black album though. That would have been awesome.

watched their live concert here in manila a couple of years ago. i was still in high school then, i think i was 12 or 13 years old when they played here in manila. i was with my uncle and his friends and believe me everyone had a great time. it was one of the best concerts i've been to.
metallica played most of their songs from their black album as the concert is in support of that album but they did play some of their other songs from previous albums. i particularly like it when they played parts of "for whom the bell tolls" and "one". another great thign about the concert was that the whole stadium was doing a "human wave" and if you failed to do your part the crowd would shout "bobo!bobo!bobo!" which is the vernacular for "stupid"! lol!!!
hopefully, metallica gets to play another concert here in the country. by the way, recently watched the last nine inch nails concert here in manila. i'll save what happened in the concert for another mylto discussion.

2.  mama_bear (602) | 4 months ago |  yeah i saw them twice and 2 seperate download festivals held in england. i watched them the year that lars got ill while they were there so a whole host of other drummers from different bands filled in for him, it was awesome, they were the headliners that night. i remember how overwhelmed i felt when joey jordison played because i know that he is a huge fan and he was so nervous, just watching him do his thing was so awesome too!

Seem it was fantastic if i could watched them live but too bad i live far away from US country, and they rarely come to Asian country. Even so, whenever i watched them in my tv i feel that i was involved live in their concert, they performance so full of spirit and energy. my dream i hope someday i can watched them live in concert

| 5. imsilver (1455) | 4 months ago |  your so lucky! I'd love to see Metallica live. Unfortunatly I live way up north in the middle of nowhere and we don't get major concerts here. The closest place I'd be able to see them is Vancouver and I just don't have the money for that kind of travelling.

The people here in Lisbon are absolutely "loyal" to Metallica and they always make their presence on metallica concerts.

But I'm the point where I'm gonna o to England this summer to see Metallica,then go see a Def Leppard show. You know some songs on the new Def Leppard album is heavier than some songs on ST.Anger(both good albums in my opinion,adn both have songs that suck in my opinion)

| 9. joaosilvakle (9) | 3 months ago | I saw a perfom live of Metallica on July 2009 on Portugal....well is Metallica i think that maybe i don´t need say more nothing...was like the best perfom that i ever saw, wonderful song, wonderful effects, nice interact with the ppl. They played song of all albuns, since seek and destroy and blackened to the day that never comes.
After all this year Metallica had making new song, sometimes a little different that those first, but always a wonderful song, with nice solos, voice, bass and drums.
