Which type of foundation is best: Liquid or mineral powder?  | |  Well I saw two types of foundation that I was thinking about, and I didn't know which one to take. One of them is from Neutrogena, idk if you've heard of it, but it's a LIQUID foundation and it's good because at the same time it's on your face, it fights against acne. Which would help my skin. The thing about liquid is usually liquid foundation realllyy dries up your skin and i've had it on once, it was so hard to move my face. almost like wearing a mask. Plus from what I've heard it's bad during physical education because when you sweat it's going to drip right off. Which is bad, cuz tat would be embarassing. And i wear glasses, and supposedly when you wear glasses with it, it rubs off on them. But, I like this one because it could help fight my acne during the day not just when i wash my face which would be very helpful to get my skin clear.
The MINERAL powder I saw was free of oil and talc and after a few weeks of wearing it, you're skin becomes brighter, with less redness in it. and plus its mineral powder its not bad for your skin like other powders cuz its just pure minerals which is healthy for your skin. And I like it because i do have some redness in my skin and it doesnt glow like other ppl's healthy skin, so I think that would really make my skin look nicer and healthier, even when I'm not wearing makeup. Plus i hear that mineral is waterproof so when you sweat it'll stay there and it won't smudge on ur glasses. plus its a lot more breathable than liquid.

| | | | | | 1.  lilaclady (19664) | 4 months ago |  I think there is good in both and bad in both...I like Max factor liquid makeup..they are making liquid makeup these days so light, some are really nice...I haven't been game enough to try the mineral makeups as yet because the good ones are so expensive, although I did see an ad for a liquid mineral makeup...there is a lot of different makeups around.

| | | 2. caragh2608 (1011) | 4 months ago |  Neither is perfect. I don't use liquid foundation any more because like you say, it does feel like wearing a mask. It also shows creases after a few hours from facial movements, like smile lines and stuff. And although it provides heavy coverage, it clogs your pores. Mineral foundation isn't great either, it's perfect at first, because it looks more natural, and I use it for everyday if I'm not going to be in public for long, but when you sweat, as its powder, it cakes on your face and doesn't look good at all after a while. I would recommend mousse foundation as a happy medium. Both Maybelline and Avon do good, reasonably priced mousse foundations.

| wigima5 (223) | 4 months ago | hmmm mousse foundation, i nvr considered tat an option, but cool i'll consider it. the only thing with mousse foundation it seems like tat would have oil in it, and anything with oil in it will clog up pores or just cause a lot more acne. | |

It is very hot here all the time and I find that even some of the lighter foundations just roll off of my face. They also seem to cause me to get blackheads. A friend gave me a sample of mineral powder and I love it. I really can't say that I have noticed my face getting brighter or less redness. What I have noticed is that it doesn't streak and stain my clothing.

| | | 4. moneymakingtoday (1676) | 3 months ago |  i had used liquid foundation before and it was okay with me. they were gifts from my sister and cousin who visited our place from the US. when it was exhausted, i have to switch to a cheaper one.
i am now using a locally-made cake foundation where u use a wet sponge to apply it. i like it as much as i do with the liquid foundation.
