Do you have bad confidense if you neglect the household work?

For over a week now, I have neglected my houshold work. Not attend to cleaning, or washing. My daughter who had her sommer job at my workplace came yesterday and nagged me about not washing clothes, so I started yesterday and made four mashines...when she woke up she said, what a big bathroom you have.
I have not had the energy since it has been hot and warm weather here, again in sweden so when I come home I just want to relax and only be. But it shore felt god to have had it done.
I hate when the dishes is not done before I go to bed, I hate when the bathroom is full of clothing need to be washed, and I hate to see the dust clouding in the corners...but what do you do when your energy is empty. And I get bad confidense not doing them.

i spent yesterday arvo doing a few things round the house. got the floor clean and finally finished the washing, and a clean bathroom. bit hard when you have a partner who leaves a mess and won't clean it up.
u don't want to hear the stupid reason for it either, my work mate didn't even bother to comment on it when i told him.
i don't like going out for the day and coming home to a mess, it's just annoying. so i try to make the place tidier before i leave.

thank you weasel81 for responding and sharing. No, I do not like to come home to a mess either. However, some days I am so tired to deal with it after a full day work, so I just leaveit be and close my eyes try not to think about it. I am alone to care for hous hold work, my son is 18 and has disorder of ADHD, so most of the mess comes from him...myself do not do much at home, more than be online, and that do not create a mess. Anyhow, I had my daughter at home this weekend she has had summer job at my workplace so she stayed with me and nicely she hepled me to clean the appartment, now, I have told my son not make such a mess and we only need to keep it clean as it is.

I do feel bad when i neglect doing the household chores but sometimes i am so tired i just can't do it. i will eventually get around to doing it the next couple of days though.

I get upset when one of my kids say something about the laundry or dishes not being done when half the clothes are theirs or they use alot of dishes. I'm not their maid and tell them they could stand to do a little around the house, too.
Best solution I found to this problem is flylady, if you go to the start page here http://flylady.net/ you will find out a good place to start in the two purple squares at the top of the page.

Yes, mzz663, I got a bit upset to, but she has no mess in my home, she lives by her self, and I guess she was right to bugg me a bit, this is not you mum she said. Anyhow, she helped me clean the appartment and then told her brother to keep his mess in his room...she said your mother work fulltime to keep a roof over your head, food on the table so atleast you can keep the home cleaned. Cleanign is not my favorite thing to do, my spare time I like to be online, so now, I also said to my son to keep his mess in his room...my son is 18 with diorder of ADHDThat do not make it easier.

i think that would influnce that at least. i often clean the house twice weekly and wash clothes once or twice weekly. i'm also bothered with the house work and i even do not like to cook dinner. but i like the house to look clean and always ready for any unexpected visitors. so i struggled to do house work..

thanks for sharing celebratelifeh, I work fulltime, that means 8 hours almost daily so there are not more energy ovr for cleaning two times a week for me. However, it should be done...this weekend I got some cleaning help from my daughter. So now it is cleaned, I told her brother to keep his mess in his room not in the other rooms...then I do not need to do more than vacum, dustying and some washing floors more than one time a week now...and it do not take long. And if my son keep his durty laundry in the washing mashine, they will be washed more daily bases.
