sick cat  | |  My cat was sick for a couple of days. Took him to Vet and he's been there for 2 days. He can't eat or go to the bathroom. Vet thinks it is kidney failure. Doesn't look good. He is only 8 years old. He is part Persian.

Sadly, kidney failure is still one of the leading causes of feline deathes. It is my hope that someday they will develop new technology which will be able to detect potential issues sooner rather than finding out too late. Best wishes for you and your cat.

No matter how good the care is you give your cats, they are hunters and should be given a meat diet, I know that house cats have been domesticated for thousands of years but their genetic code is still set up for them to be carnivores. So the diet we feed them is not always the best. I am so sorry you are having to deal with a sick pet, I know it's a terrible situation to be in. Blessings
