Do the negative opinions of others towards your God or religion cause you to hesitate defending them because of the reaction you might get?

Some persons will hesitate because they don't have the relevant scriptures to back up what they would like to defend. I will defend my God because I know the goodness he has done inside my life. I will not quote scriptures but I will allowed the persons to go and search the bible for themselves. To me it is better this way because upon searching he/she will find other answers as well.

Thank you :) I found the first responder's post a bit standoffish, while if I were to have this discussion with you, you seem ready to provide me with something tangible that shows me where your beliefs and faiths come from.

The way we conduct our lives can be one of the best ways to witness for God. That's why we should be careful how we behave and why some (so called) Christians have given God a bad name in some people's sight.

does not need to do anything. you believe the god, enough already. we do not need to prove to people about religion that we believe. people have every right to give an opinion about religion.

There are some people who say bad things about God and religion. Do you not want them to know the truth? If you are happy with your God and religion, don't you want others to know that same happiness?

I of course happy, if everyone knew about the truth, but trust can not be forced. we can only advise, if they want to believe I surely will be very happy, but, if they do not believe, I will not influence them to believe.

There is only One God, believed in by most religions ultimately. So if they are belittling Him, then forget the reaction you and I might have - worry about the reaction GOD will have! The person needs to be warned thats all.

I don't defend my God. God one and only who is Omnipotent, O~scient, and O~present. What power do I have to even consider defending Him? That would be the worst conceit. What I am defending when I do, is my religion! IOW, what I would be defending would be my idea of God, not God by any means!!!
