have you ever visited a battlefield from any war?  

I visited gettysburgh battelfeild from the civil war and i also saw the reinactment. I was amazed.

I visited the beaches and cemetery at Dunkirk. Knowing my father had been on the beaches waiting to be evacuated made it more poignant.

The cemetery was awe inspiring, with row upon row of grave headstones, and a wall of names of servicemen and women missing with no known grave. The thing what really sticks in my mind is the ages of the dead servicemen and women, the great majority being in their late teens or early twenties.

If anybody wants a reason to be anti-war, visit a war graves cemetery, only the hardest heart can fail to be moved.

I've been in bataan and I saw the remains of war

I visited Bannockburn, scene of the battle in 1314 where Robert the Bruce's rag-tag army shattered the flower of English knighthood. It's an incredible place.

Yes, I have visited many of the battlefields of the Civil War located throughout Virginia. It is almost haunting/chilling to see them. You almost get a feeling the souls of those that died there are still there. It was such a wonderful experience. I especially loved Mannassas and Appomatox. The Civil War is one of my favorite historical time periods, and one of my favorite to write about. Great discussion topic. Thank you.

Gettysburg is awesome. I've also been to the battlefields in Virginia, and I want to go to Antietam soon, and hopefully Vicksburg someday.

I have visited the Saratoga NY battlefield this summer. It was really interesting, as I live in the area and have never visited. There is alot of history in my area.

Not really on the topic, but I just watched the movie The New World. It was pretty slow, but was about Pocohontas and the settlement in Virginia. I watched how they made the movie and everything was pretty accurate to the old times. Check it out.

I have been in Kuwait during the Iraqi invasion of that country. though i didnt visit any battlefield there. Mainly because no much battle actually took place actually. It was more like a one sided war.
