I plan to start riding my bike to work. I work ridiculously long hours, so I have to figure out my biking schedule, as it will add an additional two hours to my day, when I already work so many hours.
I recycle no matter what, use silverware made of potatoes that biodegrade (at whole foods) and in some paid to clicks, they pay you at charities that help fight global warming, and save lands and ocean, and plant trees. I would do it even if I were not getting paid.
I am also an advocate of industrialized hemp. That can help save trees, clothe and feed the hungry, and can make fuel.
How come you decided to watch the movie?

sritrinity (200) | 5 months ago | Hats off to you mate....thats is really chivalrous and it seems you will also get very fit. Thats a very long bike ride everyday indeed. I'm blown away.Good for you! Please tell me what is silverware made from potatoes? Incredible, if it is a literal thing...but then I guess saying 'silverware' would be wrong, because you can't actually make silver out of potatoes....or maybe you can, and I need some educating!Yes it was a mighty film! Really well made and well researched. I feel it's something every household should watch regardless. Very important indeed. I was born and brought up in the UK but now I am in India and there's not much emphasis on it here. I remember when I first came, I used to pick garbage off the streets, like these horrible black plastic polythene bags, that people use for shopping, well they are not biodegradable and sink into the earth and are infact very poisonous...I still do it,they are just everywhere, people think I'm mad!! Because it's only scavenger dogs and scavenger beggars who do such things...but never mind....I just can't bare it..there's not much recycling available here, but then again I don't think India has that many omission as compared to some countries, but it's never to early to start! Thank you so much for sharing your enthusiasm and inspiration, I will definitely visit your blog, am also sending you a friends request, please accept. You know some people think this whole Global warming is a bit of a hoax to increase scare tactics in an already frightening world we live in to ensure more control and domination, and that infact alot of the natural disasters have been created by complex satellite weapons...crazy thought.....just wondered what your views were on it, if any

ladybugmagic (426) | 5 months ago | OMG - I was doing a search for a local chapter of greenpeace, and I stumbled about an article/blog about how one of my local senators did not want the "climate change theory" being taught in schools. The article is very slanted. I am so glad I didn't vote for McClintock. He is kind of a schmuck, on this, and other issues.
This is from Feb 2008. I wonder if he has changed his stance yet. It is our youth that A) Out number us and B) Will inherit our problems. The school-age kids nowadays do a lot more work to help the environment than the older people who are already set in their ways.
As the movie said, we don't have time to debate if this is theoretical or not.
I often think, perhaps if it were to happen in their own homes, people would reconsider. I mean, why do people take the garbage out? Because it gnarley, and they don't want bugs, mold, vermon, etc. When it goes to a landfill or in our atmosphere, people don't care. It's not tangible to them, yet. If people were not allowed to throw anything away, and it accumulated right in their own homes, they would find tons of ways to recylce and buy biodegradable materials.
