How do website owners earn money?

Website owners own a lot of money from all the ads that they put up. It generates a lot of revenue for them. Governments do not show much control over the variety of different sites that pop up. The obscene sites are incontrollable mainly because they might be located in another country which has no jurisdiction over them.

they make money on the adds, i use google adds for example. every time someone clicks on the add i make a few cents. as for taxation, some sites do pay taxes, some don't. you can place an add that will pay you money, but it will not be recorded, so people who run sites can ether file taxes or pretend they never got the money because it's not recorded anywhere. there are sites that provide add placement services that do record the income though.

its from the ads who would like to post in your website. they will going to pay for it.. though some just created website just to gain fame out from it and some dont even have any intention of gaining any money from it. but once your site become so popular a lot of advertisers wanted to post some ads and offer you a lot of money and that of course no one will going to refuse money specially if its knocking right besides your footstep...

most website owners earn through the ads posted in the sites. mine has ads too and every time someone clicks them, the credits goes to me. i don't use the google adsense since they're very strict on the rules. mine is on promoting money making sites and it's against adsense' rules. the government has no specific jurisdiction as to whatever content the site has to contain so, many people take advantage of that, more so with the tax.
