Do we remember our soldiers only during the time of Indepndence and Republic Day

As 15 August is approaching i would like to put a question to every fellow indian. We all have the feeling of patriotism in us but we only remember the martyrs at this time and not otherwise. Is it correct? A person who sacrificed his life for protecting us and our country, also has an individual identity. He has his family behind him who need his help. Don't you think the government and we the people should have done a bit more towards them? Jai Hind
