OTX Surveys - a turn off?  

Oh my gosh, I totally agree with you! I always cringe and moan when I realize I'm opening and OTX survey. Most of the time I won't qualify for it. Drives me insane. I wish the survey sites would do away with them.

I feel the same too. I have received so many mails from different survey sites with OTX survey and after spending some time in those surveys, I am told am not qualified for this survey and I will be notified once I get a survey as per the data I have submitted in the survey. This happens all the time. Now I have stopped doing online surveys. To me it has started to become a waste of my time.

I have mixed feelings about OTX. Usually I don't qualify but I have been able to complete dozens of their surveys.

I don't know what OTX survey is.But I have stopped trying to earn money from taking surveys.Though some sites pay a lot for doing surveys,I really hate spending about 20 minutes answering some questions I don't really care.It is very boring.And sometimes I am also told that I am not qualified when I have already answered many questions.I have already made some money on those sites,though still haven't reached the payout minimum.I choose to quit.I would prefer to spend time on Mylot.

I agree completely. They lure you in and then drop you. It makes you wonder if they really accept anyone for surveys at all. Then it is the same questions over and over again. If you are looking at doing surveys, don't even go there, they are not worth it. I am going to unsubscribe to them, but have not had the time yet.

Oh I totally agree! OTX are defintely cringe-worthy and they are mostly always about films which I don't mind at all if it came from a different survey company. Rather than be conned into completing half the survey and then be told I haven't qualified I screen myself out through the first few questions! I suppose I could just not do it at all but I always think if I try then they will keep sending them and I can pick and choose a bit.

I feel the same way as you, but I have to admit I can't quite manage to give their surveys up. I DO qualify for them sometimes so that keeps me coming back for more even though more often than not the experience is frustrating. I especially hate how on Global Test Market where you're supposed to get some credit even if you don't qualify for a survey you can get "trapped" in an endless loop of OTX surveys instead of getting your partial credit. I usually get trapped in a alcohol beverage one -- no matter how many times I screen out, I keep getting sent back to it!

It is a lot of answering the same type of questions over and over again. Maybe they do that to try and get people to change their answers, cross themselves up so OTX can just totally eliminate them?
Whatever the reason, it does get quite annoying...usually I'll qualify for one of their surveys, but it's never the first or second or even the third.

But it makes me wonder, do I always qualify for the last survey...or are there more available and they just aren't offering me anymore that day? The things that make you say Hmmmm....

I also tend to cringe when I open one, because they usually are about as annoying as the Greenfield ones. If I know in advance though, that the survey site that sent me to OTX will eventually award some token "boobie" points to my account for attempting, yet disqualifying; then I do try. However, I have qualified on a few different occasions for the virtual shopping trip one and also the one where they ask a person to look at a web site page, like Yahoo and evaluate some ads. But generally speaking, I totally agree with you and everyone else. I think they are a waste of time.

Yes I know exactly what you mean. I too see that OTX and I may start a few of the normal questions and then say to myself "why am I wasting my time with this survey" and then I just close it. Yes and you never qualify after answering so many questions. I glad I'm not the only one who feels this way. I guess I won't be answering any more of OTX surveys.
