In [Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince]nearly killed Draco Malfoy!?In [Order of the Phoenix] he's brought to court because he used magic outside of school, apparently a horrible offense. So he nearly MURDERS another student at school and there are no consequences????All they do is hide the book because it gives Harry the tools to do bad things?Wouldn't Harry expect Snape to take him straight to Dumbledore's office?

Actually, he did not get in trouble because Draco actually tried to use the Cruciatus Curse on Harry, which warrants Harry using Sectumsempra to defend himself from Draco. Dumbledore probably told Snape to leave him alone or something.
