what is a degree worth?  

its lot of worth
it helps your chances of getting jobs when compared to other people
it improves out your knowledge
it keeps you upto date with the latest trends

the degree indeed opens up many doors. it is not only about getting it, it is also about how well you were able to get it. i agree that GPA counts in many ways. employers, they may not admit it, but they do look for prospective employees who work hard when they were still students. experience in a field is also a crucial factor to get the job that you want. so while a student, scout for a good iternship to prepare yourself for the real one.

I was on my way to have my degree, was in my last year and i simply quit. why? because i want to be happy. I wanted to help people, so i figured if i work in the medical field i'll be helping, little did io know. I am now learning about alternative medicine and building my carrier in that because i simply can't giva a patient a pill that i know can hurt him/her. i wouldn't be able to live with myself if i was doing it. Advice to everyone, go for a carrier that you will love and will be happy with, it doesn't matter how much more money you can make in other carriers, what matters is happiness that these extra money wouldn't bring

I understand where you are coming from! I am a senior in college with a degree that I dont know what i am going to do with. I am lucky in the sense that I love to work...i would work all the time and not have a problem with it. So, I will have to start my way from the bottom and take years to get where I should have been from the beginning. Its not right and its not fair, but I made the same mistake as you.
