Does Proactive Work? |
|
I am sure that this potentially could be a question for a lot of people. When buying skin care treatments, many people are leary to spend a lot of money on something that may not work. Proactive seems highly advertised both in magazines and on tv. I have seen the stories of people who have used it on tv, but of course they make everything look worth it on tv. Has anyone out there tried it? What were your thoughts on it and would you recommend it to people?

It's not as expensive as it was when it came out and it bought directly from the company, they refund the product if it doesn't work.

nchap36 (480) | 5 months ago | proactive did nothing for my face, but different strokes for different folks. it wasn't for my face texture. my sister had it did her face ok. it all depends on what you got going on with your face. i still like the old fashion way going to a derm. happy mylotting.........

princess07031980 (1850) | 4 months ago | So you did try Proactive, but it didn't work-so my question is were you able to find a comparable product that DID work for you?

2. mipen2006 (2450) | 5 months ago | In Australia it is also very heavily advertised, but I don't know anyone who has tried it. It is such a competitive market, and so many of those kinds of products on the market, most with incredible claims. I'm afraid, I don't have much faith in most of their claims.

princess07031980 (1850) | 5 months ago | Well, my situation is I am nearly 30, and still battle with bad skin. I do my best to take care of it, but I think it's just in my genes. So obviously I was unable to outgrow mine. I have tried tons of over the counter products and have bought a couple pricy face care items, but nothing seemed worth it really so far. (Although I think Neutrogena is the best one on the over-the-counter market.) Exactly my point, whether there is a refund available or not, making the purchase of a price that high for merely skin care-I don't want to waste my money and have to chase reps down to get my money back if necessary. I just want the product to work.

mipen2006 (2450) | 5 months ago | I have always had skin problems, and at 68 still suffer, but I must admit, I really didn't take good care of it. Good luck, and I hope you find something really good.

princess07031980 (1850) | 5 months ago | I have not been blessed with good, supple skin, and I am still trying to get rid of this annoying blemish problem. At almost 30, I am nearly desperate to find something that is worth the time and money, but I swear, it's not as easy as some people make it look! I am probably fair with my skin care regimen, but I have taken the extra steps to try to fix, and since nothing has worked, it doesn't seem that the extra effort really makes any difference at all.

3. JenInTN (3731) | 5 months ago | I think Proactive is like anything else. It depends on the person's skin and their chemistry. My daughter tried it because she is at that age..and it didn't make a lot of difference for her. When she tried Neutrogena..she cleared right up.

princess07031980 (1850) | 5 months ago | Hmm...wel that is very good to know. I really like Neutrogena products too, and it seems to best out there over the counter. But then I think I saw a commercial recently for a line of products by Neutrogena that seems to be in competition with the Proactive line.

4. Weirdology (402) | 5 months ago | It dried me out really bad. Most acne products do that to me, but this one got to the point where it hurt. I think I only used it two weeks because of this though, so that is not enough time to see if something works. Though if it is like all the other acne products, it probably wouldn't.

5. shikha_1851985 (694) | 5 months ago | I bought it and was very happy with it. I too suffered from acne. It was gone with in like 3 weeks. It kept gettin better by the weeks. I think like after the first 2 months, I stopped using it, and my acne seemed to slow down alot.
