| protocol designing.... can anybody help me out????????  | | | |  Hello friends.
While taking my mini project during my graduation period, I had one thought in my mind that today the most widely used internet protocols are "http" and "ftp", but both of them had their own disadvantages and trade between speed and accuracy is always there.
Why not can I develop a new protocol system for internet which have the advantages of both and reduces both their disadvantages. I searched through different books on how to design a new protocol, but could not get such a book neither could find it in 'google'.
So, can anybody here please help me out on some books and links for how to develop a new protocol system??? Also other informations regarding this topic are needed...

| |  According me the most widely used is http. There are also many kind of protocols. I am not exactly an engineer student but i have some knowledge relating to the computer world. Developing of protocols depends of various factors i feel. Like for what kind of field you want to develop it. What are the requirements in that field how secured the connection should be. How fast it should be. based on this it can be developed i feel. Please correct if am any where wrong.
