| |  I went to Hawaii on my way around the world when I was 20 years old. It was lovely with its palm fringed beaches. The waves were incredibly powerful and it was suitable for surfing not swimming or even paddling. If I go there again I would hope to cruise or fly to some of the other Hawaiian islands. I did manage to go on a whale watching trip when I was there and the scenery was so very picturesque.
