Can negotiatons really solve an issue

How many of you people believe that a sensitive and a potential problem can be solved by negotiations? As far as Iam concerned negotiations are a waste of time they are only used by politicians to use in their election campaign to tell people that they have strived very hard to solve the problem but the outcome always is zero..
Negotiations will never take us anywhere nor does war...
I think we there should be a new strategy developed to solve cases. What do u say?

hi dear friend i think negotiations can solve an issue we have to negotiate then only there is a chance for both the parties a win win situation have a nice day dear

Ya i also agree to some part of what you said that negotiations do solve the problem but that happens when sides are really willing to solve the problem and there are excellent negotiators.
But whatif one side is not willing to participate in negotiation but has taken part because of some outside pressure?
If thats the case the meetings go on for a very long time but nothing is solved
