Praise the Lord and thank you for responding Kathy, I did have a great day. It seems that you and I have so much in common, perhaps we will have to get together someday, even if it's only to slap the high five and sing a few songs together. Do you happen to play any kind of a musical instrument? I know that some people are good at teaching their selves how to play a musical instrument but so far I haven't been quite so lucky at it. Anyhow now back to this writing thing. I learned the same thing that you did. I never really knew how much I enjoyed writing until I got here at mylot. So this has really been a great eye-opening experience for me. I know somebody was up here earlier talking about holding a mylot reunion, then for some reason or other you happened to cross my mind. Anyhow, I left him a message and told him to try to gather some ideas up as it might be something that we all might seriously want to consider. As I am starting to become quite fond of my mylot friends. It's good to know also that you are a believer and that you are serving the Lord. I used to be a part of the church myself but what happened. One day a friend invited me and my fam. to attend her church. So I invited my hubby to come with me. When my hubby got there, it was a woman there worshiping in the spirit, she has some kind of a weird looking scarf that she was kind of holding up over her head. Anyhow, I think it might have kind of freaked my hubby out just a little bit.( His background being a catholic, he wasn't quite used to all that kind of spirit worshiping). Anyhow when he left out of the church, he confided in me and told me that he felt as though it was a cult. Well little ole me not being all that hip to the things of the spirit, allowed him to talk me out of going. From that day to this one I haven't really set foot back in that church. But I still feel like God hasn't given up on me, so I'm not going to give up on him. I'm going to find myself a church a little bit closer to where I live at and I will worship the Lord in spirit and in truth. I also know that I can worship the Lord wherever I have to be. As we believers are a house of prayer. So it doesn't actually have to be done inside of a building per se. We can worship God wherever we happen to be. Although everything should be done, decently and in order. That is the reason why I didn't feel bad over singing aloud in my living room this morning. God looks at our hearts and he hear our most humble cries. Hubby may not have liked the idea of me singing out but oh well, I guess it's something that he might just have to wind up getting used to or else. Anyhow it's a joy chatting with you Kathy and I will be sure to keep you lifted up in prayer as I'm saying my nightly prayers. It's wonderful to know that you had a good time at church and to hear that few things have changed there, especially the dinners, lols. Good luck if you decide to sing that song at the nursing home. I'm sure you will handle yourself just splendidly. Do you know that if we keep this thread going, we can wind up getting paid more and more? I just now read one guys' discussion and he said that we should be making at least a dollar per discussion. The trick is to make sure that whenever you start a discussion, you should be sure to respond back to every single responder with a comment. That way your earnings will go way up and you'll keep the discussion going. So why don't we begin to monitor our earnings more closely on a day to day basis and see if this is true. In the past I had only been seeing a few cents as far as my earnings go. But if there is any truth to what he is saying then we should all be looking pretty good by the end of the month. What do you think of all of this Kathy! According to him all you have to do is keep the discussions going on and on.....I'm almost sure that won't be too difficult for you and i to . I used to love writing long letters too but since the internet came out, all I can say is that this is really changing the way that we communicate with each other. I guess the main thing that I really love is how quickly someone can get your message. God sure is good and amazing huh? I never thought about monitoring our discussions this way but it's worth a try. I think it would be a great way to monitor our earnings.

Yes, I play three instruments. I play the guitar, piano, and the harmonica. I took guitar lessons for about six years. I have also had several years of piano lessons. I taught myself how to play the harmonica, though. My brother gave me one for Christmas a long time ago and it had instructions that came with it. He didn't know what to get me for Christmas that year but he knew how much I liked music. He and the music store owner were good friends and I think it was the music store owner's suggestion that he get me a harmonica. I've always liked the guitar the best, though. I always take it with me when I sing at the nursing home and assisted living facility. I guess I mainly like it because it's portable. I was a big Elvis fan, too, and ever since the first time I saw him, I wanted to learn how to play the guitar. I have also had several years of voice lessons and I majored in voice in college. I didn't graduate college, though. Yes, I think it would be great if you and I could get together and sing sometime!

I think it would be great if we could have a mylot reunion. I don't know if I will be able to come or not due to my financial situation, though. Aso, I don't have a very dependable car anymore. I have a 1996 Chevrolet Blazer and although I haven't had any problems with it since last August, it's starting to give me a lot of trouble. I don't drive it long distances anymore so I'm just content to communicate with my mylot friends online right now. Kathy.

Oh wow, that is great that you are so into music like that Kathy. Playing three different musical instruments are quite impressive to say the least. Major kudos to you for having taught yourself how to play the harmonica. That was very sweet of your brother to give you such a gift. I'm sure that he is very happy today whenever he happens to hear you play. As for the mylot reunion, I just asked the guy to try to get some ideas, as it might be something that we could all look at doing sometime down the road. In actuality I really don't foresee myself attending anything like that anytime in the near future because of several reasons. One of them would be lack of travel funds, as I've already been talking with a few folks and telling them that I was going to be sure to come by and pay them a visit this year. And well I'm sure you know that we all tend to kind of put family matters first. But like i said, maybe in the not so distant future, we could look at doing a mylot reunion of some sort. Because hopefully by that time, our mylot funds will be paying off fairly well. So maybe the money won't even be an issue by then, hopefully.

Also Sorry to hear about your car, do they teach about the power of "laying on hands" at the church that you attend? Basically it's a biblical principle which teaches that Jesus has given us as believers the privilege and the right to go out and lay hands upon the sick and they shall recover. On that same token, you can lay hands on your vehicle and command it to operate smoothly for you by the power of the Holy Spirit. I declare that every single one of our vehicles are running smooth as can be and there are no problems with any of our vehicles. I'm not saying this to brag not to boast my friend, I'm simply stating this so that you will know what you've been given power to do by our Heavenly Father. Hey there Tamarafirheart, Well Happy Belated birthday to you my dear sweet friend. I'm sorry that things didn't turn out as you were hoping. But as you could see that they really did turn out okay in the final analysis. Some folks don't even get half of what you got and you were so extremely fortunate to have cards, from not only one but two friends. Now really that's something to praise the Lord for. I was just thinking today that I should start a discussion and ask, what would be better, to have two true friends or a million fake ones? I tell you the truth Friend, it would not be hard for me to make that kind of choice. I'd rather take the two true ones any day of the week.
