Everyone has influences, no matter what they play. Truth is, the more you listen to people, the more ideas you get on new things to try the next time you play... I have been playing guitar now for 15 years, and whether it's acoustic, electric, or bass, you can always find a sound that you might have heard somewhere else before, while the end result is always your creation. Here are a few influences I have found helpful in developing my own unique style: -Phil Keaggy -Oz Fox and Michael Sweet (Stryper) -Joe Satriani -Eric Johnson -Stu Hamm -Les Claypool -currently looking into a little Van Halen, but to be honest, never really listened to him...
