Orkut Account Hacked...!!  |

 Someone hacked my friend's profile on orkut and changed his "about me" section.Today he called me up and told to scrap his friends about this incident.He managed to hack the gmail account first and then he changed its primary email Id.now he can't login to his gmail and orkut.But he didn't change his profile completely.
Now how to get a hacked profile back?Any ideas?
Any idea or suggestions are appreciated.

1.  suparnodatta (297) | 4 months ago |  Well this mainly happens when you click on a unknown links.The most popular wa to hack ones orkut profile is the Phishing Attack.It this the hacker sends you a fake mail or something like that where it asks for you username or password.Most of the time people are stupid enough to enter that.Theres no way really to retrieve a hacked profile as far as i know.Tell your friend to open a new orkut account and inform everyone in his friend list that his account was hacked.And please please never ever click on any unknown link or enter your login details.

the same has happened with my friend earlier too although i don't remember what he actually did, i would recommend to never use third party websites to log on to social networking sites or any site for that matter, it is very risky and one shouldn't trust them, only log on orkut from google, well now that something like that has already happened to your friend, just tell him to try to log on into google settings and see if he can log on and change his password, i have no experience in this matter and cannot give you remedies here except give you some warnings, just take care.

generally yahoo is easier to hack as we get to know the subtle security questions if we know the person closely
then...may be the gmail acc had a link to that primary acount and he hacked into gmail..
then from there on orkut..

| 8. nuridch (80) | 4 months ago |  You may try once in google account forget password section. See what happens there. however, it seems, the hacker has changed all settings. If your friend is not able to access the account anyhow, then, do tell him to immediately open a new account on Orkut and report all friends about this deadlock. You should also report the previous orkut account with valid reason and the administration will do the necessary. Good Luck..
