I have an own forum and I am searching for the best way... |
|
...to make some extra money with it. My forum is based on php-fusion and it's forum of our mmorpg guild. It's add free. But I am wondering if I could make some money with this too? Through adds? Adsense? Through a search engine?
Do you have an own forum you make some money through? If you have one, what do you use to make increase your online money?
Please let me know of your experiences! Thank you!

Although without enough folks to visit, you won't be able to make any money off of it - although honestly, i would not fill my guild forum with any flashy ads of such. But then again - it is entirely up to you.

But at first I want to try to collect some other options before I try out one. But maybe it's senseless, who knows.

Remember 2 things: firstly as your first reply suggested too many ads is off-putting. Second, make sure you tell your members NOT to click on the ads unless they are really interested. I could imagine members 'helping' you by clicking on ads, and then getting your account terminated for click fraud!!
All in all, I would say it is unlikely to earn much from a small forum, but at the least a couple of ads should pay for some of your hosting costs.

Let me see if I come up with something good. Thanks for your idea!

4. Rose2798 (168) | 3 months ago | I suggest Google AdSense. I also suggest that in your signature on your forum, that you put; "I recommend these sites" and then some referral links. You can't earn much money without a lot of members. But if you PM me saying that you'll make me (and keep me as) a moderator, admin, or something like that. I'll join, post, and maybe even hook up some people to your site.
