Do you still receive landline calls?

Yes i still got a landline phone and i get most of the calls on it,even if i have a mobile i rarely use it and prefer to use a landline than a mobile.

Yeh, we still receive landline calls although we have three mobiles as my in laws stays at home and our relatives call on landline number. my in laws feel very convenient on landline only and not on cell phone. They can,t hear anything on cell phone and don,t knowe how to operate so landline is good for them.

I get tons of landline calls. It's mostly from family since friends would usually call my cellphone or use the internet but I'm always using the landphone. Partly because of my grandfather who lives downstairs and calls whenever he needs me or just wants to talk. My aunt also calls a lot since she lives in another country. Being on the internet is fun but nothing like hearing the voice of a loved one

I have a landline at my house; just for when relatives call from overseas though. And bill collectors/businesses (I hate giving out my personal cell number)

I sedom use my cell phone as it is pay as you fo. i probably have only used it about 7 or 8 times since Dec 08 when i got it for a gift. I do use my landline all the time, both to make and receive calls. I am not a person who spends very much time on the phone though.

Yes, we still have our land line mostly because all of our friends and family know the number by heart and it would be a hassle to have them call our cell phone after all these years. Plus we have a teenage daughter, ther cell phone bills would kill us with her. She can talk to her local friends as much as she wants on our land line and it won't cost extra or use up too many minutes.

Hi eileen! Wow, my landline phone is just gathering up dust on its desk! LOL! We only had it installed because of our internet. It's such a surprise when it rings and when it does, the call usually comes from a telemarketing agent. Hehehe! But I must say that it's not totally useless even if it's not used for the internet. I find it convenient to use when, for example, calling the credit card's customer hotline or say, making restaurants reservations, or simply just calling some friends' office number when I find it easier to call them than to text them:)

Yes, I do. I am actually using a landline plus phone. This phone is like a landline only that it is wireless. So when people want to call me, they can use their landline without paying for any long distance charges as they call me. Whenever I call any landline, then its free for as long as its in the same area code. Moreover, I can receive call from any mobile phone as well as text messages.

Techonology is rising fast nowadays, still my landline phone is useful in relating to my work and business. Though you are right about portable gadgets like the mobile phones which are very multi-functional things in this world today, my landline phone is the most convenient one. It is much cheaper and practical, that it does not need to cost you much in communicating. Mobile phones on the other hand are expensive, because in every call you make and in every minute you use, you will be charged. Even if you can make short messages or what we call text messaging, the negative part is that you will be charged per text/message and your communication is not directly comprehended.
