What is your take on the Revelations prophecy of Armageddon?

I think this book is definitely taking place.
It is happening everywhere. People are wanting the mountains to fall on them.
(committing more and more suicide ect.)
Life seems to be getting more and more unbearable in every sense.
It will become harder and more difficult to stay a believer.
True as well, as more and more religious people are losing there believe.
There would not be many believers left at the end.

The Revelations is like the predictions of Nostradamus. Scary, but coming.

I agree with you up to a point. Yes, as Christians we should not be trying to oppress our neighbor are causing wars. This is evil plain and simple. However, this is not what the book of Revelation is saying. It is not predicting God's holy people waging a future war which would bring desolation and destruction on all. This is not a holy war. It is predicting a future war started by evil people who hate the Jews. The actual one who leads this campaign is known as the Antichrist, a person who is suppose to come out of the Revived Roman Empire, our modern day European Union. Russia, China and other countries of the middle East are going to be major players, but all countries in the world are going to be involved. This war is also going to be a war against Christianity, for all people professing to be followers of Christ will be killed during this time known as the tribulation. Everyone will be called upon to get a mark in the right hand or in the forehead. This is the mark of the beast. Anyone who takes this mark will go to hell. Those who refuse this mark will be put to death. These are the Christians. So you see, it is not Christians causing the bloodshed and destruction. They are the ones who are going to be killed.

So we Christians have nothing to do with ushering in this war. We have no control in it. Someone out of European Union will sign a peace treaty with Israel, a seven year contract. This will be the official start of the tribulation. Israel and all the world will think there is finally peace, but there will be no peace. For the Antichrist and many others will be conspiring against Israel so they can make their sneak attack. They will make their move at the halfway mark into the tribulation, three and a half years.


As this campaign really starts to pick up steam, their will be massive bloodshed. Just when all seems hopeless, Jesus is going to return to end the destruction of the Earth and protect Jerusalem. He is going to bring all his saints with him. Satan will be cast into a dark pit along with all those who this mark. We the saints will reign with Jesus for 1000 years on earth with him.

I believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God and therefore believe everything that is mentioned in the Book of Revelation. It both a warning and a promise to Christians. A warning that many Christians abound on the earth who are Christian in name only, that if we trust in him that he will get us through it. The promise is that Jesus is going to return and crush all the evil that is rampant on the earth. This is something to be joyful about!

It says in the beginning of the Book of Revelation that "Happy is the man who reads this prophetic message and those who hear it and heed what is written in it, for the appointed time is near. Revelation 1:3 There is a special blessing bestowed on all those who read this book.

It also says at the end "I myself give witness to all who hear the prophetic words of this book. If anyone adds to these words, God will visit him with all the plagues described herein. If anyone takes from the words of this prophetic book, God will take away his share in the tree of life and the holy city described here!" Revelation 22:18-19 This to me points to how important this book is. Do I understand everything. No. But I recognize that this book is important and should not be underestimated. This book was written for our time.

For me it is a glorious story for in the end Jesus will return.

Dear friend...Armageddon is not started by God's people. It is started by those who are opposed to God and Israel as a nation.

What ever gave you the idea that Christians start Armeggeddon?
