I am a coffee drinker, yes. I drink four or five cups a day, starting from breakfast time. I am addicted to coffee, I must say. But, I don't drink strong coffee. I stay with decaffinated coffee, with milk and sugar. I don't have any headache problem so far.

Hi You are so very lucky for, you are taking coffee in a limited proportion and because of that you are free from head ache. I also started taking mild coffee with little decoction with milk and sugar and now a days not feeling any uneasiness and not getting headache at all

My sister has a similar problem. She drinks tea a lot, but when she hasn't had any in a while she ends up with really bad headaches and is always irritable. You can become addicted to caffeine and the best way to solve the problem is to slowly cut back unless you wanted to go cold turkey. Then your pain should go away after a few weeks.

Hi AlyssaG I think this problem could have been the effect of caffeine present in it which makes us addicted when used in large quantities. Now a days I cut short the intake of it and really now i am not getting any headache

Hi vathsala, it didn’t occur to me that coffee plays such an essential role in your daily life. You are really a huge fan of it. Oh gosh! To avoid having the mild headache, it’s a must for you to take coffee straight away after brushing your teeth in the morning. I hope it’s a single cup only... Yeah, taking excessive coffee is not good for our health. One of, my brother in law’s colleagues is really a great freak of coffee. He has to take 8 cups of coffee daily he then would feel energetic and comfy the whole day. It’s really amazing eh... As far as I know, we are always advised not to take more than 6 cups of coffee for a single day. Taking more than the amount of this, it would cause harm to our body. I try to take once only daily. I have it usually before going to my part time work in the afternoon. I love hot coffee with more milk powder added to it. I feel content and energetic after sipping this great hot beverage. I would crave for it badly if I don’t taste it for the whole day! Have a lovely weekend and happy posting

There is no limitation for us to leave comment in responses received vathsala so just feel free to reply whenever you are free. It's nice to know that you have cut down the amount of coffee taking daily Before we were told not to take any coffe as it was not good for our health. but now we are encouraged to take a cup of coffe per day which is believed would help to promote the health of our heart haha...

Hi ikbooi First of all I apologise for the late reply as i was occupied with some other work. Your suggestions are well taken. Actually though we know that coffee is not good for health, i crave for it in the morning after brushing. But now a days i have limited my intake to 3 cups.

We both sail on the same boat vathsala 30. I need coffee immediately after brushing the teeth. So I pour hot water in the coffee filter before going to bed and next day when I get up dicoction of coffee is ready and within 5 minutes my coffee is ready.

I'm a coffee drinker, consume at least 3 mugs a day and even drink one before going to sleep. My computing experience is not complete without that mug of mine beside me. Except for the craving if I cannot take one, I don't feel any ill effects. There is a discussion here some time ago about an organic coffee maybe you should try it, I haven't tried one but going green is surely good for the body.

Hi ferdznk Yes craving will always be there, if we are used to it for a long time. We feel somehow relieved if we take it hot while doing some work or reading books. Some people like to take it cold with some cream too

The best thing in my opinion, is not to drink coffee on an empty stomach. I don't always drink coffee first thing in the morning, rather when I feel like it. I like the taste of coffee, and don't drink it for the caffeine. The people who can't start their day without a cup of coffee are usually addicted.

What you say is totally agreeable. As the doctors also tell the same thing and they will ask us to drink plain water in the empty stomach in the early morning before taking coffee/tea. Now a days I am following their advice and totally got rid of my addiction and headache as well

Hello vathsala, I am totally opposite from you. I never like to have a coffee after wake. A cup of coffee can make you fresh after drinking it. But a cup of coffee make me sick, . I also don't know why this happen to me. After getting myself a cup of coffee, I will feel uneasy to start my day!
