I have the habit of taking a nap at noon . If i don't i would feel very sleepy in the afternoon and can't focus on working . But i've noticed that still many people don't take a nap and they feel quite energy . How do you refresh yourselves if you feel sleepy?

I find a late afternoon nap helps restore me enough to continue working until bedtime. I haven't found it to interfere with having a good night's sleep either. I guess it depends on what the person does all day as well as any preexisting medical condition that determines if taking a nap midday is beneficial or not.

That is great for you. Taking a nap is good for our health i think. It will give chance to our worn out tissues to be repaired so that when we wake up, we feel recharged, revitalized, renewed, and refreshed. There are times that I take a nap, but because of my busy schedule, I can't do it often. Gone are the days when napping is one of my afternoon habits. happy

So i'm feeling lucky to be able to keep this habit of taking a nap every day because i'm not so busy with my job.

I do take a nap in the after noon actually. I had this habit of going to sleep right after my lunch but 2 years into it and I got a tyre around my waist. It took another one year to excercise to get back the normal shape. Now I take a nap around 4 in the afternoon and get up around 5. Frankly I do not feel like getting up but have to hi hi
If i am visiting somebody or doing some chores and I have to stay awake, it is always better tokeep splashing cold water on face and if that doesnt help, drinking a strong tea or coffee helps.

It's true that sleep right after lunch or dinner will make people fat . I usually take a nap about 1 pm and get up about 2 pm and get ready to work .

People abroad have their dinner early by 6 or 7 know? I have seen in movies and heard about that from friends who reside abroad. It is a good habit to go to bed after 2-3hours of eating. That way the food is digested more than half. But here we have dinner very late.Nowadays it is as late as 10 to 10.30...I generally wait for another 1 to 1 1/2 hr before getting on to bed...Here it gets late because we wiat for all teh family memberes to dine together...

We have our lunch just about 12 in the noon and have our supper about 6 pm in the evening.

Only yesterday I discussed this with my husband. I was wondering about your (foreigners) time for meals and when they go to sleep. It is good to give a gap of atleast 2hrs before going to bed, but what time you go to bed? around 9? wont u be hungry by the time you are in bed? Do you munch on some snacks or something after dinner?
It is a good thing you know, here we have lunch around 1 and then we have to prepare tea with some snacks...If you have early dinner, you can skip on making snacks hi h

Well i would go to bed at about 11 pm . Mostly i don't feel hungry and don't need any snacks. Sometimes we would cook some noodles and go out to have a snack if we feel hungry. I've found that having snacks before sleep at night will get me increase weight very easily so it's not a good habit to have snacks at night.

Hmm having dinner at 6 and then going to bed at 11...If it were me I would have eaten twice in between...My mother used to say that I had chicks in my stomach that I was always hungry...After moving to my husband's place, he frowns when I say that I am hungry after a meal hi hi...I do not like munching on snacks though...But most of the occasions I do not eat anyting just before bedtime.

I don't like to take a nap in the afternoon. However sometimes when I am feeling very sleepy, I tend to fall asleep during the day. Sometimes it refreshes me and sometimes it makes my body feel tired or sleepy.

I just formed this habit of taking a nap in the nood since i was very young . Therefore it's hard for me to live without a nap in my daily life.

Sometimes I like taking naps but most of the time I dont want to take a nap because it usally screws up my sleeping schedule. I only take a nap a few times a week if im really tired and try to take it before 6 pm like to take it around 3 pm or 5 at the latest. Even though when I was a kid I use to love taking naps especially when I was in highschool pretty much use to take a nap everyday after school lol.
