the benefits system?!

Just a quick word to say does anyone actually know what the hell the goverment spends our taxes on these days??
My angry rant comes from 3 months ago, I had to leave my job due to taking custody of my badly behaved sister, She gave my mother heart attack with all her trouble and abuse so i had no option but to take her in.Now bearing in mind i have worked since i was 16 and from the age of 18 i have been paying over 150pounds a week in TAX! Since leaving my job i have recieved NO help from either the goverment or the council I have no job and have been juggling a four year old and a bad tempered teen without so much as a handout. What i cant seem to understand is how a lot of other people i know who have sat on their backsides most of their lives can get a new three peice suite when ever they fancy it but i cant even get a bed for my sister?? I am back to work in september but im totally resenting the fact that i have to pay taxes now as i have been failed by the system in my time of need, All i see the goverment doing with my taxes is paying for immigrants on benifits,luxury in jails, boob jobs ''for the depressed'' etc etc Am i unreasonable for feeling this way???

Well are you her legal guardian? Do you have legal rights to claim her? Why is the reason for you being denied these benefits? Do you have a husband that makes money and you just make too much? I live in the US and I am not sure what the laws are there and that is why I ask the questions I have asked.

No i pay my taxes so that if ever im in a situation like i am now, i will get a small weekly income, my rent paid and any further expense must be applyed for i am getting the small amount of money to help me by, But theyve decided they wont pay all my rent so im falling into dept and they keep sending my loan applications back when i desperatly need a new bed for my sister and a bus bass to go back to work, if ive paid over 150 pounds every week in taxes for the last 5 years theres enough there to pay for me being out of work for a couple of months but noo!!!! You see i dont know wether its the same in america but here in britain lazy people who cant be bothered to work and immigrants get all the benifits i pay they take! then in my time of need im lower than ever it disgusts me so much!
