I would like to hear from mylotters the best place they've been, close to nature. Please be specific about the place like name, location and as to why you consider it best. The information you give will be greatly appreciated.

One of my favorites is definitely Point Dume in Southern California. The smell of the ocean, and the sound of the waves hitting the rocks. Definitely amazing and powerful. I attached a picture below. Those pictures are only at the top of the Point. You can also hike down to the beach/cove - which is also pretty awesome.

I'm a little biased towards my home state of Minnesota. There are several places here that are just wonderful. Superior National Forest and the Boundary Waters Canoe Area in northeastern Minnesota are fantastic. So is the Glacier Lakes region in north-central Minnesota. Gorgeous pine forests where it's possible to see bears, moose, cougars and wolves. In the silence of the early morning you can hear the common loon yodeling, which to me is the epitome of northern Minnesota.
In the southeastern portion of Minnesota there's a glorious stretch of the Mississippi River. Even just driving along Highway 61 it's possible to see eagles riding the thermals around the dalles and the fall colors are spectacular.
There's a lot of Minnesota that I haven't had the pleasure of seeing, but the areas I've mentioned above are places I've been to a lot and really enjoy.

Wow! Seeing animals roaming freely in the wild is breathtaking. I love seeing the animals you've mentioned and and the Boundary waters Canoe Area. Also include the Glacier Lakes region in the list. Minnesota is definitely a must place to visit. Though you haven't explore much of the said place, I know you will because you must too hehe. Anyways, thanks for posting. Your place is beauty. Happy Mylotting.

We went to Jog Falls in the state of Karnataka, India. It is the highest water fall of India and it was a real pleasure. It was a hastily arranged trip, which turned out to be so enjoyable. It is amazing when you hear the noise of a water fall from such a close range. It felt so nice to be away from the city traffic and spend some time in the arms of mother nature.

I grew up very close to nature. Our house is just a stone's throw away from the beach (white sand) and it was one of the best place in the world for me. On top of that, the entire province is known to all the people of the Philippines. Palawan is the name and is considered to be a great diving site ,apart from the white sand beaches it offers.
I agree with you that the sound of the waterfall is really amazing. I terribly miss my hometown after you told me that. We have so many waterfalls there as well. I hope i can come back sometime soon. Thanks for the reply jshekhar. I appreciate it.
